Are Lash Extensions For You?

Are you like me and fantasize about waking up photo ready? If so, then lashes are made for people like us!

Unfortunately, like myself, I don’t qualify for lashes (I learned the hard way) and now I can’t get my lashes done…. EVER!

So why are some people not qualified to get lashes?

Some reasons you might have to turn away a client/be turned away by a professional?

- Visible redness (could be pinkeye)

- Visible Swelling (could be sty)

- Itching

- Crusting (could be as easy as simply telling your client to wash their eyes)

If your client has any of the following please refer them to a doctor to determine the case, in certain situations you can request a doctor note

If I notice one of my clients wears contacts, I advise them to please remove contacts before lash application

Ideally you never want to apply lashes to someone who suffers:

- Glaucoma: A disease in which the optic nerve damage can lead to progressive, irreversible loss of vision

- Blepharitis: Chronic inflammation of the eyelid

- Excessive tearing: These clients make it very hard and sometimes impossible to get the tape, glue or extension to stick and could lead into a burning sensation

- Eye irritations/infections – Like myself my eyes suffer easily from irritations, when I woke up the next day after getting my lashes done, I had to go to the emergency room

- Pregnancy: This is more for pregnant women in their third trimester, as laying on your back still for an hour, isn’t good for anyone

- Thyroid conditions: Results in loosing their natural lashes

- Asthma: (clients with asthma may be sensitive to the adhesive odor “glue”)

I hope this has helped determine if lash extensions are for you guys! If you have any questions feel free to message me 24/7.

Stay safe lovely's !!!!
